1. Data controller and contact
Alessandro Vicario is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Privacy enquiries and requests to exercise your rights can be sent to info@alessandrovicario.it or by post to Via Rosalba Carriera 5, 20146 Milano, Italia.
2. Contact enquiries
The contact form collects your name, surname, email address, subject and any information you include in your message. These details are used to respond to your enquiry and manage the related correspondence. Messages are received and stored by email. No fixed retention period has currently been set for this correspondence.
3. Newsletter
If you subscribe, Alessandro Vicario uses your email address and language preference to send news about exhibitions, new work and publications. Your first name, surname and country are optional; these details help personalise and organise the communications you receive. Subscription is voluntary and is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Your subscription data remain in the active mailing list until you withdraw your consent.
After you submit the subscription form, a confirmation email is sent to your address. Your subscription becomes active only after you confirm it through the link in that email. Registration and confirmation details, including the date and IP address, are recorded to document your subscription.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by contacting info@alessandrovicario.it. Unsubscribing excludes your address from future newsletter mailings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.
4. Newsletter service provider
The subscription list and newsletter delivery are managed through Infomaniak Newsletter, provided by Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland. Infomaniak processes these data to provide the service on behalf of Alessandro Vicario. Its Newsletter terms state that customer data are stored in its data centres in Switzerland. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of personal data protection.

5. Website cookies and services
The website sets a session cookie named PHPSESSID. The cookie cookieConsentAgree records the choices made through the cookie banner for up to 365 days.

The website uses Infomaniak Site Creator, resources supplied by Infomaniak and typefaces supplied by Bunny Fonts. It also includes Infomaniak’s Sentry error-reporting service. Newsletter signup is protected by Infomaniak’s ALTCHA anti-spam service.
6. Your rights
Subject to the conditions laid down by data protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction or deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, or object to processing. Requests can be sent to info@alessandrovicario.it.
You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, including the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
